Wild Orchid Theatre was formed in 2008 by writer Catherine Roth to raise the profile of new writing and theatre in local communities in the Midlands and beyond. It provides a platform for writers and actors to showcase their work and brings theatre to audiences.

Dedicated to promoting new writing, Wild Orchid performs in non-traditional theatre spaces that have included a kiln hovel, a canalside warehouse and an empty shop on a busy city street. Do get in touch to find out how Wild Orchid Theatre can transform your venue!

Wild Orchid enjoys collaborating with others on projects and has worked extensively with writers and actors. It has also run a project with visual artist, Diana Shepherd, which explored art in new and exciting ways.

With regular writing competitions and calls for submissions, Wild Orchid is keen to hear from writers. It also offers a programme of bespoke creative writing workshops for adults and children.
